The first season of the GCTL is being changed to a 4 team round robin WSG tournament. One match will be played each Saturday from January 21st to February 25th. The rules have been updated.

We're still looking for people to broadcast/commentate the games on the GCTL twitch channel. If you're interested in being involved let me know. If you plan on playing in the tournament and streaming your own perspective post your twitch and I'll add it to the stream list.

laaaaame, the arena idea was better

I want to be optimistic, but my gut is telling me switching to wsg is a bad idea, the interest seems pretty low for any type of wargames, and timing wise, you guys are forcing games. I can't see any of those games being quality games, one team will dominate (saxx get @ me if u need a player) and take the w's and the M's.

Rip, arena players and BG players have always be different folks.

Yes, a person could say that one takes more teamwork than the other and one takes more personal responsibility than the other. If you are into social situations and you like people you should play organized BGs. If not, socially speaking of course, arenas are more for you.
Just as PvP and PvE are different folks. All take different skill sets.
I have personally recruited some decent PvP players for my PvE guild in WotLK and had to bench them because they could not perform due to lack of situational awareness, lack of teamwork skills and myriad of other reasons. And some of the best performers in the PvE guild were torn to shreds in PvP due to inexperience against others players. It is all a matter of learning the skill set. It comes with practice.

/cheers

personally, i'm too busy to run a team. if you consider the fact that theres a handful of 19s who actually have the situational awareness, individual ability to play at that lvl. remember that it still only leaves us with a handful, and if we look back to the past we will also remember in plebmades that incompetent people were usually not invited, so i believe that only one competent team will show, the rest will be fodder due to the over saturation of twinks and how dumbed-down its become. Everyone will believe its too easy and get rolled by that one team, these kids aint built the same, i foresee a lot of one and done, i hope otherwise.

thats my 2 cents

Can't field 4 teams dude. Play the board

I sorta wish this wasn't so spread out. I'm going to be moving back to school in the middle of this
