Well I guess I'll either ship it to BH for my 99 or just sit on it. Figured more of a response.
 
I saw that someone posted a spreadsheet about how a socket increases the ilvl value but couldn't find it. I remember it saying anywhere from 15-25 ilvl increase just having a socket. I don't think having a third stat makes a change in ilvl but I'm not sure.

As far as a trade is concerned I am open to them, I've got a 99 Ret on BH (horde) and a 101 DH on Sargeras (alli).
Also can take gold on BH or Sargeras.

Sockets don't add any item level. What you're talking about is the value of the socket.
Example: Ring 1 is ilvl 850 with no socket. Ring 2 is ilvl 840 WITH a socket AND the same stats as Ring 1. Therefore Ring 2 is better.
Even still, it's situational and completely meaningless for twinks unless you plan on playing outside of pvp.

Really nice find on the ring though. Absolutely beast.
