Oh....
So what you are saying if a country purchases something from another country then they are trying to overthrow it. Interesting theory you have there.
Right, I probably should have explained further, I forgot who I was talking to:

So back to the Shah and USA. The Shah was the leader of a brutal, oppresive regime, who put his critics in jail, and favored the small elite part of iranian population. In short he was a bad guy, and he is a symbol of everything that USA proclaims to fight against. BUT USA still protected him, and threw down those who sought to bring him down and replace his dictatorship with democracy-like conditions. They did this because they didn't want to lose the oil that the Shah was selling to them.

So they were in short trading democracy for oil.

OMG!!!!!! WHAT A CRIPPLING BLOW!!!!!!!!! Snack showing PROWESS with the Shah uppercut.... WHAT WILL ALLY RESPOND WITH AFTER THAT BRUTAL KNOCKDOWN?

Quite a surprise to see lvl 10s in this list. :Kappa:

The generalization going on in this thread is a bit unfair as many twinks play multiple brackets. Since I main a 10 but play 19s, does that mean by association that 19s require the least intelligence to play? :p I understand @bigmoran put very little effort into this thread and mainly only wanted to stir drama, since this is XPoff after all. But hey, whatever gets my post count to increase... :p

Like @Kirise said (btw if you haven't, go back and read his post, he makes good points), getting wargames on 29s prior to WoD required a lot of coordination. We weren't that many back then. Now, the 29 scene is filled with mostly old 24s who enjoy the effortless and easy PvP, nothing wrong with that. Its fun and passes time without having to stress that much.

On the topic of 10s. Back in MoP, the average age of my fellow lvl 10 twink guildmates was around 14 years old. Does this potentially make 10s the bracket with the lowest intelligence? Maybe. Is this a problem? Quite the opposite. Many 10s were brand new WoW players and were introduced to twinking through those "duels against level 13 alts" Bigmoran refers to. They saw how strong a lower level would become and were genuinely intrigued in what we called "a twink". To them, this was their first contact to the twinking community as we know it today. They fell in love with twinking and many moved on the make multiple twinks in a variety of brackets (like 19s and 29s) and shared/spread the love of twinking to their own friends. This might be strange to some 19s, but this is how you grow a community. You need new faces in the bracket. Sure, we make WSG harder to play and 19s hate me for advertising 10s to play more in WSG. But I'd like to think that we earned more than just a spot on the "least intelligent twink bracket" list.

Your thread was pretty much devoid of content, if I remember correctly. Just a guy holding a paper that says Turtle? I didn't delete it, but off-topic threads are generslly more likely to stay up if some effort is put into them.
is that really what you wanted to say, think about it
i am about to link a few threads that have less effort put in and offtopic bs and wonder again why mine was removed

You can link whatever you want, but PM an admin if you really care, this isn't the place to pursue this.

The vast majority of folks that play WoW- hell, that play any video game online, are morons. The real question should be, where do I find all the reasonable people?

Except this is what really happens with a "forum war".
Kek...

I'm out people.

Have fun!!!

What are other countries get out of trading with Isreal?
What about with any former Soviet country? Cuba?
African nations??
I really doubt you answer these questions. Or any...

The very same Shah that was overthrown over a third a century ago that more than 60 American citizens were held hostage for 444 days???? He was overthrown simply because he was pro western. i.e. He was not anti-Christian. The Middle East is inherently unstable. Trust me, I have first hand experience. It has been that way for thousands of years. You, me no one in the near future is going to change that. It has absolutely nothing to do with oil.

If only all world leaders could see the future. Perhaps you can. Mind telling me Saturday night's powerball numbers?

By your logic, any country that purchases anything from any other country that has a monarch/dictator/single leader contributes to this. How many European countries have monarchs etc? How many countries in the world?
Any country that trades any thing with any other country is exchanging it for something. Correct?

Why are you living all those decades in the past? The world has a glut of oil. I already pointed that out. We produce 10% of the world's supply. In addition, we have 3/4 of a Billion barrels in liquid reserve in case there is a crisis. The largest reserve in the world. That was built because of what OPEC did in the 70's.
Fuel is inexpensive here. Gasoline is $1.29/gallon on average in my area. We can get 10 cents or more weekly discounts as well. A half liter bottle of water cost more than a gallon of gas is a good comparison.

There are a few of us. You have to look really hard though. I am not going to name any names for fear of missing a few and for fear of catching the ire of others that I had no intention of naming. You can find some. That is actually the fun part.
WoW has gone to hell and a hand basket for the most part.
Good luck in your hunt!!
I have no idea what you're going on about. But what I did see, was that you could not counter my argument, you could not counter the argument, that USA wasn't just buying oil from a country ruled by a dictator, because many western countries does this, even though I'd prefer they didn't. USA directly helped the Shah defeat his enemies. "Enemies" who were fighting for democracy. Do you not see how USA in this case deliberately fought against democracy in Iran?

That other countries are trading with Cuba, Isreal, African dictatorships and so on, does NOT legitimize USA's actions. This is not middle school, where you can just point to another child and say "He did it too".

And I have no idea why you would mention the Iranian Hostage Crisis? That was the work of the revolusionists... They took the americans as hostages because of how USA helped the Shah, whom the revolusionists had just overthrown.

The Shah was overthrow in 79', even though it's of course "the past", it's really not that long ago...

And I don't see how this paragraph:

Has anything to do with our discussion?

Blame it on the esport heroes who think the game is a life.

So 29s and 19s depending on which is more active. They all switch rides anyway.

I dont even want to think of the mass suicides once WoW dies. :^(

I have explained it to you before. It really is not that difficult.
Prior leader hated Christians--- a coup happen in '53.
Leader was sympathetic to Christians so UK and US supported leader. So peace loving Islamic citizens of same said country had yet another coup and ousted that leader in '79 a mere 26 years later.
We are due for another coup...
Moral of the story. The Middle East is a cesspool and is an unstable region. You can not blame every Middle Eastern revolution/coup on America no matter how hard you try. It is the Middle East after all. How many governments there have been changed hands in the last 100 years? 10? 15? 20?
Pretty stable here in North America.
HE CAN'T DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SAGGY BAGS ENTERS THE ARENA FOR A HEAD SLAM!!!!! SAME FINISHER HE USED IN THEIR LAST BOUT.... HOOO BABY THIS is just UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Please know your history before posting. 'A coup happened'??? It was a coup planned by the UK and USA to overthrow the democratic elected president.

But back to the discussion: I actually thought that you knew more about international politics.
The Shah was obviously pro-west because western countries like USA supported him. But why did they support him? Because he sold Iran's oil to them.

You're right that it was an exchange, but it was basically USA promising to keep Iran away from democracy in exchange for oil.

Where have I said that I blamed USA for every coup that has happened in the Middle East? I am just blaming what have happened in Iran on te USA.

UK were the primary instigators in '53. They feared the PM of Iran was turning more and more to socialism and it appeared as if they were shifting towards communism. They could not afford to lose the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, now called BP( ever heard of it?). So the UK turned to the US for help. And we obliged them. As we could not let another country fall to the "Red Menance". So you see, it is not as simple as " blood for oil" in the Middle East, even as far back as 60+ years ago. It never is.

By the way, why did you use your 2nd account?

Could it be two different people? It was explained right before the demise of TI and my/our little 3 week hiatus. I know Conq saw it, as he even commented on it.
Thank you all again for your contribution in 2015. It was much appreciated.
