So I just educated myself on the Legion PVP system and I am a bit confused. Here is what I read: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/19994381/legion-pvp-preview Here's the important part: "In Legion, as soon as you zone into a PvP instance, the stats on your gear will be nullified, and you'll be given a pre-determined set of stats that's uniquely configured for your specialization. Furthermore, any set bonuses, enchants, Legendary bonuses, or trinket effects will be deactivated (although your Artifact and its related Artifact Powers will remain active). The only contribution your gear will make to your overall power is through a small modifier based on your average item level. For every point that your average item level increases, your pre-determined PvP stats will increase by 0.1%. That means a 25 item level difference between two players only results in a 2.5% difference in stats, compared to the 25% difference it makes today." I'm going to ignore the pvp rings (http://www.wowhead.com/item=7337/the-rock) and necklace (http://www.wowhead.com/item=74918/problem-solving-pendant) that all twinks will be using to take advantage of this scaling in my analogy. Lets say you are using full looms and other BiS gear w/o Invasion gear or gear you get from crates. Your average Ilevel will be around 24 or so. Now lets say you are in full Ilevel 34 TF Invasion gear and your average Ilevel is around about 32 (due to no Invasion trinks, back and sometimes weapons). If these 2 players were to fight the one with the Invasion gear will have a .8% advantage over the guy in looms. Is there something that I missed? Because if not, is .8% even worth it? I can defiantly see the point in getting a full set of Invasion gear, but not TF.
