EU+US Twinking a DK (101)

Hey guys,

I'm planning to twink a DK to farm Darkheart Thicket solo. I came here to get some advise from the community and want to ask if Blood or Frost is the better choice for this, considering how important leech is for each specialisation. Maybe there is some easier class to do this with, so hit me up with your opinion :)

Good luck farming or whatever stuff your doing
 
a) Each tank works without leech.
b) As a damage dealer you can do it faster but depending on class / spec you will need some leech.
c) As Havoc with ilvl 801 I could farm it easy without leech because I heal for 25% after a mob dies. And for an oh-shit situation I have meta with +30% leech for 30sec.

So ... it is up to you. ;-)
 
If you want to farm DHT for leather/herb then you want to go frost DK with around 20%+ leech. Frost DK will do 5-6 min for each run where a tank is going to takes 12-15min.
 
Thanks for your fast answers! So I'm probably keep looking out for some leech items and gearing a frost DK with it :p

Their not as strong as frost DK to be honest. To farm DHT Frost DK/Balance druid are the two top ones, but any class can do it offc.
 
101 Blood DK is all but invincible, even without Leech, but DPS isn't great. It's DPS isn't as bad as Veng DH but still feels painfully slow. If you can acquire the Leech needed to Solo at the pace you're comfortable with, I'd go Frost tbh.
 
Why are people always refering to Frost DK / Balance Druid? I can't see the advantage they have over Havoc tbh.

I have the best Burst AoE in the game, I run faster then all other specs. I have an instant AoE Stun ...

Am I missing something? (I think that noone knows how well Havoc performs atm, haven't seen any videos about 101 Havocs with Ilvl 820+.)

Moonkin form in Legion is back to being basically an off-Tank so it's DPS output + being hard(er) to kill than standard DPS makes it a good choice. It also has great burst Movement Speed with better than average standard Movement Speed (Cat form). Is it superior to Havoc, I have no idea, but it's certainly up there with the top of the crowd in matters of best all-round 101 Twinks.

I am having trouble with my DH doing good DPS and all. Can you elaborate on your rotation on boss fights myperfection? I wanna get better.

And what is your average DPS on a boss fight?

Felblade - Demon Blades - Bloodlet ... are the talents you should use. No matter if it is ST, MT, AoE.

Start the fight from 15y range aka Felblade Range:
Throw Glaive
Felblade
Fury of the Illidari
Metamorphosis
Chaos Strike (Annihilation) if available, otherwise Fel Rush
And then it just depends how much Fury you have:
Felblade if you don't cap Fury
Chaos Strike (Annihilation)
Throw Glaive

For 2 targets:
Eye Beam > Throw Glaive > Chaos Strike

For 3 targets:
Eye Beam > Throw Glaive > Fel Rush > Blade Dance > Chaos Strike

4+ Targets:
Eye Beam > Fel Rush > Blade Dance > Throw Glaive > Chaos Strike

It should be something like that. :)

For your Artifact Weapon: You went the way to get Rage of the Illidari 1st right? And then Sharpened Glaives.

Item Level 808 /w Rank 13 weapon. (with that crappy strength trinket but it is 840 and has a socket^^)

Archdruid Glaidalis - 326k dps
Oakheart - 363k dps

But keep in mind that we do more damage if we can kick a cast every 15sec which was not the case. And that we are crit depended with Chaos Strike. So the dps can vary a lot if we do a single fight over and over again.

Frost? UH definitely has a definitive advantage in damage with lower artifact level. Frost is decent but from experience my DK as UH blows through mobs like the big bad wolf and I believe I only have like 7% leech. If you can manage your pet and defensive cds plus the spam death strike procs it's easily a no brainer
 
If you focus the birds, you can just pull and kill to bosses depending on your talent choices. Very seldom do the mobs stay close enough to damage you. So around 5-8 minutes as unholy depending on how quick you are about stuff. If you're taking your time around the 8min mark is where you should be killing the last boss
