For some people (if not all), their game will crash if they try to sheath or un-sheath their weapons. To fix this temporarily, unbind and/or rebind sheath to a button you will never press.
Menu > Key Bindings > Movement Keys > Sheath/Un-sheath Weapon
If your game is constantly crashing, this is likely the case (if you didn't know).
