I think these are just temporary changes. Feral has already got new spell for shapeshift. Maybe feral's Cat Form will work differently somehow.

Other druids will cry it back on official forums anyway. Like marksmanship hunters begged for their pets. We still lose it if Feral Affinity (the level 45 talent) and Cat Form will be merged for other specs. Time will tell...
