I couldn't find anyone that suggested in this thread that it should be a BG tournament. There's a few asking if it is a Battleground or an Arena one.

Hence why I assumed you were talking directly to me, that and the fact you didn't quote anyone :) Good you're aware!

More than one person mentioned WSG.
As I noted, having a 10v10 tournament really is out of the question when we can't even field enough entries for a 3v3.
I am not stating it to be mean or curt, just stating it matter of factly.

And as I stated; They mentioned it by asking if it was BG or Arena. Not by stating they wanted BG. So bringing your whole hypothesis up in the first place was out of place, which was my only point.

The catch 22 is there is a lot of people that would prefer to play WSG to arenas. However, in order to have a WSG tournament vs an arena tournament we would need over three times as many participants. Right now, we can't get enough people for an arena tournament.
We have a negative influx of new people coming in to participate in events such as these. The bottom line is the nasty people ran the most of the decent people off this site since it has no CoC. i.e. we have more people leaving the site than we do people joining. This was predicted.
The good news is that it can get better this is up to us and the administration.

/cheers
I don't wish to debate, argue or continue this conversation any further but you are wrong and I have actual data from google to back up this statement, the rate of new users vising the website is nearly 10% higher than during WoD. The real reason why we don't see an influx of new players logging on to sign up for these events (and I've talked to almost all the new guild leaders) is that most of them until very recently (because of myself and a few others networking with them) didn't even know about the website. This goes for 19s, where most competitive players and guilds are on horde.

Speaking of which the gold prize is now available on either faction.

There were some. I won't mention names.

Now Conq, you know I pick my words very carefully. I did not state that the site did not have a positive influx of new members. That would be foolish, as we have seen many of the new people posting. Which is a great and grand thing.
What I did state, however, is that we simply are not getting active people to sign up to events. Many of the people that were active are either no longer active at "competitive" twinking or have gone to greener pastures. This may be attributable to many factors.

Marketing is key to bringing a new product to light. XPoff was essentially a new product when it was rebranded. That is why suggested the "megaguilds" last year.

I agree, we should not bring this thread off topic anymore.

Is this still happening?
Yes, but a few kinks with some developers has pushed our time schedule backwards. We'll inform you when we know more, Conq should be in touch with potential teams on a regular basis to try and arrange something - especially when we know more.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
