EU+US Preferred class for Herald of Titans?

Hey there! I'm thinking of leveling/gearing a toon for getting Herald of Titans. Is there any class that's strong for this fight? I might just level a druid just to go resto. I remember when there was a thread on the previous twinkinfo site that had BiS for different classes and specs. I didn't see any current ones for Legion. I'm assuming the hardest part of the fight is just getting enough people to do it?

Thanks for any info!

I did it when it was current content on a resto shaman twice on two different characters and as prot paladin once. It was a TEAM effort back then just as it is now.
It all depends on your skill set. I could not even begin to tell what abilities that each class/spec gets by level 85 in the current patch. Your best bet would probably to go to the official forums and check for a “Herald run” there. There will probably even be gear lists. Getting gear should be a breeze except for the RNG portion since you can have a higher level run you through the instances. Good luck!!

hm same here going for herald with some guild raiders.
Probably pretty cake but I like to min-max things.

So can anyone help me with a bis list for enhance shaman @herald ?
Tried looking araund, but all of it seemed more or less outdated / missing.

Mostly uncertain when it comes to;
~weapon enchants / talents/ trinkets/ gemming prio @ 80?
~Would the armor pen 1handers be worth swapping to or too low proc?
Found the jc only crimson sun gem + enchanted pearl was also bis at 80 now but other than that im not sure.
And I guess lw leggs + hodir soulders.

The essence of the achievement is that the player can't beat Algalon with gear higher than what is obtainable in Uldar at level 80.
Back when Ulduar was current content the highest obtainable armor ilvl was 226 and weapons was 232. You could only do those by activating "hard mode".
Since Ulduar is no longer current some gear later gear is now available that 226 that you can buy. At one time you could purchase it with JP. I presume now you might be able to buy it with gold. For example, a player can use weapons from ToC normal as they are ilvl 232. But not the armor as they are ilvl 232, not the required 226.

Remember the wording of the achievement.

It has been a long time since I have help someone obtain this but if I remember correctly the only 226 armor pieces are from Ulduar hard modes, a few Ulduar craftables and some Conquest Point(gold now?) items. All others will either be 219 or too high.

isnt the fight a joke now u could probably do it naked with heirloom weps now

Just did it again a few days ago on my elemental shaman, and I was doing half the damage of a frost mage. We had 2 frost mages on the team who were both quite equal in damage and carried the dps by a long shot. I'd guess mages, warlocks, hunters? would be strong for dps. No clue about how the other classes do.

It is easier than it was when it was current. You can use the upgraded enchants/potions/flasks/gems, heirlooms, the 5% stat gain from class armor did not exist back then, the key to his room used to more difficult to obtain. All the items add up to huge numbers. Add in the stat squish and it may not be too difficult at all.

I still would not call it a "joke" at level 80 though. It will still require 9-10 people even though you are vastly overgearing it and doing it four expansions later.
As he stated in the first post, the most difficult part is finding a group.

Out of curiosity, how many people were in the group? What phase did you get him down in?

Think there was me, so a shammy + prot pala + disc priest + 2x frost mages + a horrid arms warrior. Didn't really pay any attention to the fight, but the dark globs were on the ground if that matters.
