US 29s Premade Rules

Jamesb

The OG Jamesb
It seems as though 29s are looking to get more competitive. I've laid out some ground rules I think are appropriate for wargames. We can discuss and change the rules as we see fit id love to see some feedback on this.

Comps
2 of each class maxx. No ferals. 2 stealthies maxx. Boomy counts as a stealth, resto Druid FCs do not.
Maximum of 4 healers.
Specs you may only have ONE of: Brewmaster, Shadow Priest, Arms warrior, Boomy

Jumps
No jumps that cannot be done without scripts. Horde and alliance GY jumps are not permitted. All tunnel jumps for both factions are allowed. The stumps in mid field may not be climbed.

Weapon Swapping
Should not be permitted, as this bracket is bursty enough. A team executing kills via good syncing and target calling is much more impressive than a team that gets kills based on the luck of the proc. If both guilds agree to allow it so be it, but the general consensus says that most are against this idea.
So Warriors may only use one weapon enchanted with Crusader and may not swap it out. Brewmasters can run Landslide in their mainhand only, with a different enchant in the offhand and may not swap their mainhand for double procs.

Yeah, I don't think we need that right now. I do plan to edit and clarify things that pop up as needed, but I don't plan on writing a guide on it or anything, if your leading a 10 man team you should already know the do's and donts imo.

If you put me to lead a WSG team, you would be crying Bc how poorly that would go down. I have no clue about WSG tactics what so ever lol.

You've premaded with me, so you have an idea of how I like to see things ran. But I mean dos and donts in terms of team comp, it's pretty simple what you can and can't have. The rules have remained the same with only minor modifications for like 8 years.

I mean yeah I get the mist of team comps and what you can and can't do in the games, what I mean is the strats needed. How to position your team. The right calls. Jazz like that, I'm terrible at it I just play my class and try to do what I'm told.

2 of each class max is cool, but i dont dig the one of each spec shit
what if i want to run dbl rsham/dbl priest, like yeah it can be used in a advantage, but understand that both are yielded like a double edge sword.

like if you want to say only 1mm hunter or 1 bm or 1 arms, then state that because i understand that

that makes sense but I think there are less classes that we would allow to be doubled up on than their are that would be disallowed, so im probably better off listing which classes a team CAN have two of. Read what I added, do you think any other specs should be allowed to b doubled up?

fair enough, can you do so please.

You should'nt allow GY jumps at all tbh, as horde GY > ally GY by far, jumpwise.

Just have a limit to 2 of each class. Forget the 4 healing limit, and forget the max 1 of 'insert healer'. If you wanna limit certain specs to 1, which is fair, do it only for dps slots like BM's and warriors.

Everything else doesn't matter.

& p.s. Teams sorta connect to all brackets now, so I can tell you on the spot, even tho I barely play 29s that I could get you a 10 man roster to play tomorrow or this weekend.

Find a date you like, write it on the forum, and I asure you you'll get fish on the line.

I know this isn't the thread for this, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway.

There really isn't a huge interest in 29 wargames. Last night a team of people who play majority of 20s and go wargames on 20s thought it would be cool to try it, so we faced <Perfection>. I'm sure we could get our group going again, but you would be better off in this bracket making a team for 20s. I could tell you right now you have <booty wizards> and <ATMO> 100% ready to field a team for some games. Also there are more people working on getting their teams going.

But yeah, rule wise like everyone else has said, cut the spec limit, just limit one BM Monk, one Arms warrior. Just an example cuz I'm sure no one is stupid enough to do it, but if a team was to run two Shadow Priest then they wouldn't be able to run a Discipline Priest, that's on them though.
