Old F2P Looking to Return

Hey guys. I haven't been paying much attention to this bracket, nor its sub-forum for the majority of this past year. School is just around the corner so I stopped my Wow subscription like that I don't feel compelled to play, letting me play more leisurely. So here I am back in the F2P bracket!

As an old timer from the F2P Aerie Peak OG's I was wondering who was still around and active on that sexy server. Stunstunstun, Mindy, brov, voc where you all at!?

I was wondering how the state of f2ps are compared to veteran 20s. I'm 110% bis on my druid, and planning to play boomkin again. I'd love if people could help me out and get me back up to speed!

Do Av still pop? What's the big to queue up and trick to get lower q times?

TL;DR: old AP F2P boomkin coming back. Get me up to speed pls (F2P vs vet, bows AP doing, LF friends)
 
Level 20 Vets gear wise are obviously better than what any F2P can get due to lesser restrictions, mainly being enchants. With that being said, even with the lesser gear advantage F2P's aren't out of the picture. A good F2P can benefit any team (depending on the player of course.) Queues are virtually 24/7 with wait times varying. Glad to have you back. I always respect seeing a good F2P in BG's. Goodluck.

Thank you! I just hope f2ps can actually make a difference in BGs unlike 10s do in their bracket.

Would you recommend buying 1 month to get enchants and then go veteran?

Not only would that recommended, its kinda mandatory. The difference you make in bgs is comparable to like an infant punching a 12 year old...you know like theres a chance it might affect it if you use like certain items
 
imo it went from a fun community/event filled bracket into something similar to Qing random BGs/Skirmishes at max level (actual waste of time)
 
I always thought I was the only one who was paranoid like that. When the BoA tab came out I was so pissed, as mentioned above the whole reason I BGed was to work up to BoAs. I loved it when there was JP.

Doesnt anyone else remember the pride and how cool you were when you had your first BoA pieces on your f2p

You were really distinguished and it showed dedication to your toon

This is bullshit, unless you're really terrible at the game. I've been doing just fine on my f2ps. Just don't roll some of the weaker specs.

You have really bad analogies, and you're also wrong. I've had no problems competing against the 20-29 pugs on my f2p toons. If you NEED enchants to compete in this bracket, you must be way below the average skill level. Not trying to bash you by the way, just my honest thoughts.

i respect a man who gives opinions, now im sure the insults were just part of the rant as I never mentioned anyone needing anything to accomplish anything.

I'm pretty sure you just mentioned earlier that upgrading to a veteran in the 20-29 bracket is "kinda mandatory", unless you like to feel like an infant trying to punch 12-year-olds. Did I miss something?

also i hope your not thinking i meant anything none-related to scoreboard, it tends to be easy to juke with a druid and all the good fc perks

Yeah, you're obviously right on that, if we're talking about damage/healing done. Talking about returns/caps/node captures/etc, a f2p can do just fine, and that's what battlegrounds are about: winning the game via objective.

Ok then you were clearly on the wrong page about my case. He mentions boomy, I mention charts. Which leads back to my previous comment, With druids FCs they have a total different mentality on how to play a wsg game, unlike a boomy. You can even out the odds with your nice juking on FCs but again if anything other, your not defeating charts in other classes

Especially on a f2p boomie, imo having no enchants is just fine. Starsurge -> displacer -> 5cb ferobite is probably over 2-3k damage in a global even without crits, if you can't get returns with that then I don't even know :p

But yeah I guess you're right about it: If being top damage/healing is your priority on bg, you will definitely need to have enchants to compete against other players (unless you're arms lol). Then again, if you think fuck the stats, just win the game, f2p will do you fine if you have experience of the game.
