Hello there, since it seems like the author of the previos threads decided to nicely delete his list duo to him leaving 70's i tought i just had to get a new one going.



It might not be perfect and far from me the idea of it being as complete as the previous one, altough i hope that the comunity will help me thru suggestions and eventually some ( hopefully ) positive feedback !



Please keep in mind that the below gear set-ups are an indication, you are free to play with more Player vs. Environment gear or with more Player vs. Player one, you are free to gem more int or less agility, find the most suitable combination that makes you feel the maximum control over your toon's healing, damage, and survability.

Professions



Jewelcrafting : the jewelcrafting benefit mainly comes from having a passive bonus of 3 improved wrath of the lich king gems, here is a list of them.



Leatherworking : the leatherworking benefit mainly comes from having a chance to use 3 improved bracers enchant, 130 attack power, 76 spell power, 102 stamina.



Mining : the mining benefit mainly comes from having a passive stamina buff given from toughness improving your stamina by 60.



Skinning : the skinning benefit mainly comes from having master of anatomy giving you a 40 critial strike passive benefit.



Tailoring : the tailoring benefit mainly comes from having two different cloak enchants that increase either attack power by 400 for 15 seconds or spell power by 295 for 15 seconds.



Alchemy : the alchemy benefit mainly comes from having a re-usable flask that will not get consumed on use, flask of the north Increases your spell power by 47, attack power by 80, or Strength by 40 for 1 hour. This counts

as both battle and guardian elixir.



Blacksmithing : the blacksmith benefit mainly comes from having the chance of adding a socket to your bracers and to your gloves, which results in two additional gem slot.



Enchanting : the enchanting benefit mainly comes from having two ring enchants, giving you either 40 attack power ( per ring ), spell power by 23 or stamina by 30.



Engineering : the engineering benefit mainly comes from using Synapse Springs or Tazik Shocker, synapse gives you 480 points in your highest primary statistic, ie 480 streght, 480 agility or 480 intellect, wile tazik shocker allows you to deal 4320 to 5280 Nature damage to an enemy at long range ( yes, there are other different benefits, but player vs. player wise these are the reason why you want to level engineering, check out the sticky about cataclysm tinkers done by Jeego )



Herbalism : the herbalism benefit mainly comes from using lifeblood, that will increase your haste rating by 120 for 20 seconds.



Inscription : the inscription benefit mainly comes from having several shoulder enchants that are more powerfull than the ones given by aldor and scryers, either 120 attack power and 15 critical strike rating, 70 spell power and 6 MP/5, 60 dodge rating and 15 parry rating or 70 spell power and 15 critical strike rating.





This said, my personal suggestion is to pick whatever fits your class more, even tough Engineering ( Synapse Springs ) and Jewelcrafting ( 3 improved gems ) are the most picked ones Arena and Battlegrounds wise.

You might as well want to carry a second Apolyon with Rune of Swordshattering in case you fight agaist rogues, warriors, shadow priest to avoid a full duration on disarm.

I'm not an expert in every class and therefore some Chardev's might be the same for all 3 spec as i really did not know what a few piece changed might have done as " big " difference, so if you think that something should be changed, do not hesitate !

That is about it i hope it's usefull in some way, as said above do not hesitate to leave any suggestion / remark you may have.



Please keep in mind that the credit for this list does not go to me but to the whole comunity who helped build it up.



I'd like to thank everyone who has took the time to check the chardev's and suggest what would have been an improvement over something else.

um, for the prot warrior



he has a spirit cloak on atm, might wana fix that, and ide like to know the reasoning of the pvp boots over dreadboots of the legion (2 sockets) and the brutal sword over the hand of the deciever, also 2 sockets, just curious :)
 
Many Chardevs! handle it!



But really, nicely done, figured once Satina deleted the others that'd be the end of it, Pity he had to go and do that.

It's ment since it has more resilience and stamina than the melee one.

Boots are a better choise overall duo to stamina and resillience which is 10 less than gemming two 20 resilience in the dradboots but doing so would cause to loose 160 hp.

You have a point on the weapon tough !
 
Just to comment, on the disc one, that's no way near BiS, i have more sp and resi aswell as 1k mana.



Edit: And i'm hit/spell pen capped.

As said, i did my best, if you have any idea on how i could improve the list, poste chardevs or armory and ill be glad to get the gear sets better !

Arcanum of Ferocity is better then that head chant aswell. Being hit capped for special attacks is quite nice when going @ a 73-74

Edit : i said gun was better than the throw Sunwell Pleateau weapon, which i confirm, never said it was better than the throw Player vs. Player weapon !
 
Isn't level 70 in the 70-74 bracket? I ask because I notice you paid almost zero attention to hit rating (though good job remembering SPen, most don't).



Blood DK (FC): You put the DPS leg embossment not the tank ones, the entire point of an FC is to survive MANY players beating on them. You have the Superior Medallion equipped instead of the Epic version, a loss of 25 Resil. On DK's, Mages HURT when AMS isn't available so I'm on the fence about whether I'd put Crusader on the 2H over Spellshattering (4% magic dmg reduction + 50% less silence, yes that effects DK's). Death Strike relies on HP, so I'd drop all SPen (except cloak maybe, Agi won't matter enough, haste at 70 for DK is meh, and +armor isn't going to either since that toon is already into DR) and change those gems to 30 stam.



Resto Druid (I was a TBC and WotLK Arena Tree): Armor on cloak is bad mmk, put haste, the haste on that druid is terribad. The reduced stun duration meta isn't worth it, put the healy one instead (Int + restore mana on cast kinda thing). Once again, you put the Superior Medallion instead of the Epic version at a 25 Resil loss. I honestly can't remember how much SP I had back at 70 but 1200 seems low, and TBH anything over 400-440 Resil on a Resto Druid @ 70 is wasted, it should be Haste > Int > SP > Spr. The healing throughput is so high and with that ~16k HP few if any would be capable of 1-2 shotting that Druid even at ~400 Resil, and if they can't alpha a Resto Druid they lose.



I can't comment on others as I don't PvP often enough on my other classes.

Well, the 128 Ilev medallion is now Grandfathered, therefore unobtainable to newer people, so people usually leave unobtainable items out of BiS lists, Seeing as people just gearing up cant obtain said item, and wouldn't know which item to opt for, whereas if they linked the 25 Resil/lesser trinket, and they already had the 128 Grandfathered trinket, they'd know that's *their* BiS.



Just my two cents.



Edit; Forgot about the Heirloom trinket, that has 45 resil, same as the 128 epic one. (If memory serves), but has a 5 minute On-use cooldown, 3 minutes longer then the normal pvp trinket.

If you are referring to me, My intention wasn't to shame him, at all. Just pointing out that Grandfathered items aren't usually included in BiS lists.
 
Your unholy chardev is incorrect. Due to the fact DKS have unholy presence, the Tuskarr's Vitality movement speed increase is redundant and serves no purpose. I would highly consider 32AP or 22stm.



Secondly, this is not WOTLK, the socket bonuses serve little to no purpose on BC gear, especially for secondary stats. If your goal is hitting them, its a misleading goal.



There is no helm enchant on the DK Unholy Gearset. Change that to Arcanum of Ferocity. It's important to note that you are also NOT hitcapped on that gearset. Stormrage Signet Ring would trump Sin'Dorei in that regard. The 16 hit on Feroc + Signet Ring would hit cap you and a bit over.





Finally, underlines do not make it easier to read. I would use color in your post to segregate sections. Looks like a TL:DR Post (oh the hypocrisy). That was a first impression I got basically looking at resil, hit cap and the post itself. These adjustments shoudl serve you well

Interesting as Wowhead doesn't have the normal red text below it saying something like "This item is no longer available to players" (I looked it up prior to commenting about it) and it's pretty stupid that Blizzard would add the best PvP set (Brutal) and the shittiest Medallion lol. I checked just now in game and sure enough the crappy Superior trink is the only one available so it's either that with 2m CD or more Resil with the BOA version but 5m CD. And I know all about grandfathered items not being on BiS lists as ALL 6 of my 10 Twinks have full grandfathered gear and I continually have to explain to people it's no longer available in game hehe.

Ahh, gotcha, get a decent amount of whispers asking where the trinket is bought, i *think* blizzard intended to put the 128 back in, but accidentally (Cant confirm, do recall some post about it, though) put the 115 ilev blue one in instead.



The 156 Battlemaster trinkets were removed as well.



Going to go browse through the PTR, see if i could find any of the above mentioned removed items.



Edit; Well, they've added revamped and re-labelled vendors for all Season 1-3 gear and weapons @ Area 52, Currently purchased with honor,

as well as adding the Ilevel 156 Battlemaster trinkets back into the vendors in Hall of legends/champions, But they're still only got the 115 ilev Pvp trinket on there. They also put all the ilevel 141 rings back in, so Physical damage-dealers get a second ring.



these changes may not be permanent, subject to change, etc etc.
 
Nice topic and links to BIS for each class, But you pay wanna put how some rogues/mages use a full pve set for more burst ect, because on your armory links the backstab rogue had only like 2900 Ap, compared to my rogue who has 3900.
